some tips for taking care of (y)our porcelain items:
care : our porcelain is baked at a high temperature, 1260-1280 degrees. this makes the porcelain less porous than any other kind of ceramics. we choose not to glaze the outside of most of our products because we like the touch of unglazed porcelain. however, it can still stain.... so you'd better choose another cup to drink your beetroot juice or curcuma latte:)
it is okay to drink coffee and tea out of our cups because the inside of our items are all glazed
in case there is a stain on the outside of your cup you can remove it with what we call a 'magic sponge'....we don't know a brand name but they are white, made out of a strange consistancy, you buy a block of it and then cut of a part of it for use....sorry for this weird explanation but we love them and they get almost all stains out!
damage: slight irregularities in size, in the glaze, color and surface of our porcelain is what makes our handmade items unique. if in any case you buy an item from us and there is a crack or damage, please take a picture, contact us within 14 days after receiving your parcel and we will see what we can do!
shipping: we pack our products with the utmost care so that our porcelain reaches you in a pristine condition, however, if the delivery service comes to your door with a damaged parcel, do not accept it or ask for a form to make a complaint. also, please take pictures the minute you receive it and before opening the parcel.
doing the dishes: our products are dishwasher safe but if you want to enjoy your illustrated purchase for as long as possible we recommend to go the old fashioned way and wash it by hand! if you choose to use the dishwasher, make sure the items are not touching each other in the machine!

as much as we love to keep it simple, life isn't always! so here we go: welcome to studio k. these terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of studio k.'s website. studio k. is located at: Rua Guarda-Joías 44 in Lisbon, Portugal. by accessing this website we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. do not continue to use studio k.'s website if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page. PAYMENTS: studio k. chooses to work with paypal for now, if it is not possible for you to pay through paypal for whatever reason, please sent us an email. your order will be shipped as soon as the money is on our bankaccount, or when we have official proof from your bank that the transfer has been made. DELIVERIES delivery time: studio k. will try to send out orders on a daily basis. within Portugal, allow for circa three to five business days for delivery. abroad, delivery times can vary from one week (for europe) to two (for the rest of the world). delivery guarantee: in the event of an order not reaching it's final destination, studio k. will take responsibility for reimbursing the customer for its full cost. if the delivery does not happen and the postman can't notify the receiver through phone or email it is the customer's responsibility to contact the carrier. and if the order is returned to the sender after not being collected during the period of time allocated by the local post authorities, it is the customer's responsibility to pay for the charges of a second delivery. studio k. ensures that your order is shipped to it’s destiny, but cannot be held responsible for any eventual additional custom's taxes or product's restrictions in some countries. it is the client's responsibility to verify with their local authorities if any additional procedures are necessary. RETURNS POLICY: the customer is entitled to terminate the contract without indicating any reason within 14 days after the day when the client or a third person designated by them (not the carrier) was in physical possession of the goods (or the last good, in case the customer ordered several items in a single order, that were separately delivered). the customer may exercise his right to terminate the contract through any unequivocal termination declaration, communicated through any means with evidential value. in order to do so, the customer must communicate his decision to terminate the contract through a clear statement, in their own words, in a letter sent through registered postal mail or in an e-mail, sent to one of the following addresses: rua de campo de ourique 172-2esq 1350-056 lisboa or through our contact page. we note that the right to terminate the contract is considered to be exerted within the lawful date when the termination declaration is sent before the end of the above-mentioned deadline. exceptions to the right to terminate the contract the right to terminate the contract can not be exercised for the following products: - items manufactured according to customer specifications or clearly personalized; effects of contract termination: if the contract is terminated, the customer will be reimbursed for all payments made, excluding shipping costs, with no undue delay, and, in every case, no later than 14 days from the date when we were informed of the client's decision to terminate the contract. PRIVACY: we will gather data only if you fill out one of the forms on our site. collected data are precisely those described in each form. we always request only the minimum data necessary to fulfill your request. data are only gathered for the purposes indicated in the form you filled out, namely sales contracts for our products or sending our newsletter. all data that we collect are encrypted through an SSL security certificate. data are stored on a database used exclusively by studio k. studio k. never shares its clients' personal data with third parties. studio k. keeps your data only as long as it is required to fulfill your request. in the case of contact forms, data are deleted after a maximum of 12 months.
